As we all know Iris is a combination of task manager and mind-map to achieve your goals. It helps you to constantly visualize the whole picture of your goals, tasks, and ideas.

So, what can you do with Iris?

Let’s get started.

Think of a goal you want to achieve…Since it’s summer season we’re all going to make Lemonade!

Here is your main dashboard with all of your goals. Right now we’re in the ‘Personal’ section, you can switch it in the left upper corner to see ‘Team’ or ‘Archived’ goals. To immediately see the progress of your goal just hover your mouse pointer over it.

By pressing the three dots button you can easily delete your goal or move it to the Archived section.

It’s all easy peasy lemon squeezy ;-)

Now let’s create a new goal. Start by typing your Goal name in the textfield and press the arrow button.

Voila! You will be redirected to your newly created goal page. At the bottom of this page is a toolbar, in the left side you can zoom in or out your map, right next to it the target button to focus right back to your goal, in case you’re somewhere in the middle of nodes. Ok, let’s for now go back to our goal.

What do we need to make the perfect lemonade? We will break our main goal to smaller parts and tasks. Press the “+” button on our goal to add nodes to it.

If you click to the node you’ll see the small menu. Here you can mark node as done, change its color, link to another node and delete it.

Two main parts of making any recipe are Ingredients and Preparation itself. So let’s dive into them a little deeper and add nodes for each ingredient and step of preparation.

Another way to quickly add nodes is to click on parent node and drag while holding “Shift” button.

When you’re done with any node, like we’re already have enough Lemons in the freezers, so let’s check it done. You will see that the progress of our goal is now 8%! Yay! It’s the small step, but still there’s nothing more refreshing than a glass of cool lemonade on a warm day.

It’s even more fun to achieve your goals with your teammates. Click the invite button in the upper toolbar and type in email of your friend.

So there we have it! Lemonade is really easy — and quick — to make from scratch. It was just the basic example of how you can achieve your goal with Iris. The key is to make it simple, visualize and see the progress step by step.

Go ahead and start your own goal with Iris.

P.S. When life gives you lemons, make lemonade!
