IRISnet Dev Team won Most Innovative/Deceptive State Machine Award in Phase 3

The GoZ closing ceremony has successfully completed and awards in Phase 3 have been announced. IRISnet won Most Innovative/Deceptive State Machine Award in Phase 3. More details can be found here.

The main objective for Phase 3 was to stress test the security model of IBC, and the winner will be the team that executed the best confusion or deception attacks against other zones. IRISnet Dev submitted the finding around “Unordered Channel Bug” which can cause more tokens minted on the counterparty chain than what’s escrowed on the source. IRISnet Dev Team have made open source command line tool

This tool can interact with Gaia and relayer. More details can be found here.

IRIS Foundation secondly implemented the community-centric delegation campaign & the second one-year token burn plan

IRIS Foundation has completed on June, 2020: All delegators received IRIS tokens as direct deposits in an amount equal to their delegation reward earnings in May; the application form of validators rewards continues to be available; the token burn in May was completed to maintain a zero percent inflation rate monthly.

IRIS Foundation Executed Special Token Burn

From April 1, 2020 to May 31, 2020, the amount of voluntary delegation from the IRISnet community has grown steadily. While keeping the network bonded ratio essentially stable, the IRIS Foundation Eco-Development Fund has undelegated a net amount of 8.92 million IRIS during that time period. In response to suggestions made earlier by some community members, and to continue moving the ecosystem development towards decentralization, the IRIS Foundation carried out a burning of those 8.92 million IRIS tokens on June 15, 2020. The total supply after the special burn was 1.994 billion, slightly lower than the initial issuance.

IRISnet and Kava Plan to Integrate to Enable Greater DeFi Services for Interchain Ecosystem

IRISnet and Kava Labs, the creators of the Kava DeFi platform, have established a partnership. IRISnet plans to provide Kava with iService and Coinswap applications to improve liquidity. Additionally, through the IBC protocol (Interblockchain Communication Protocol), Kava and IRISnet hope to further promote DeFi application development on each other’s networks as well as the whole ecosystem of Cosmos.

IRITA, the first enterprise consortium chain product in cosmos, is going to be used by BSN to support interchain interoperability

In a recent interview with CSDN, Mr Xiaojun Ma, Chief Architect of China BSN, stated that BSN is working with Bianjie, IRISnet Core Dev Team, on integrating IRITA to support interchain interoperability.
