PlatON & IRISnet Form A Strategic Partnership in Blockchain Enterprise Service Market
In January 2019, PlatON and IRISnet jointly announced the establishment of a strategic partnership. The two parties will collaborate in the areas of blockchain, big data analysis, distributed systems, and privacy computing with the intention of jointly developing enterprise-level application services for blockchain and big data analysis.
PlatON has been in the field of privacy-preserving computing and blockchain data encryption security represented by Secure Multiparty Computing (MPC) and has been in the industry for many years. In order to allow multi-source heterogeneous data to flow and connect securely under assemblable privacy protection, PlatON, based on the security architecture with built-in cryptographic algorithms, such as verifiable computing, secure multiparty computing, zero-knowledge proof, homomorphic encryption, and secret sharing, is dedicated to build the next generation public chain infrastruture, supporting all types of distributed applications and distributed artificial intelligence.
IRISnet is an inter-chain service network, which is designed to be the foundation for next generation distributed business applications. It is a Bonded PoS blockchain, built with Cosmos-SDK, that enables inter-chain interoperability through a unified service model. By incorporating a comprehensive service infrastructure and an enhanced IBC protocol, IRISnet enables integration and interoperablity of business services offered by heterogeneous blockchains including public chains as well as consortium chains.
PlatON will be one of the most important parts of IRISnet ecosystem. By applying IRISnet’s unique iService framework, PlatON’s privacy-preserving computing services can be interoperable by all public chains, consortium chains, and traditional business systems on IRIS Hub. Furthermore, IRISnet’s inter-chain service ecosystem will be improved by the collaboration with PlatON, and will take a solid step towards creating an internet of blockchain for various business scenarios.
IRIS’s mainnet is going to launch in February 2019, and PlatON’s testnet has also been released on December 18, 2018. We believe that the collaboration between IRISnet and PlatON will speed up the implementation of enterprise-level blockchains and distributed business systems applications.
