Irys and EthSign have partnered to ensure that contracts and important data on EthSign are safely stored on Arweave, the only provider of permanent, decentralized storage for a one-time fee.

Irys enables multi-chain support for Arweave while increasing the number of transactions conducted on the protocol by 4000% and improving data upload speed by 3000x. Once uploaded to Irys, the data is instantly accessible to users. It also enables native support across various blockchains and lets users pay for uploads in different tokens such as ETH, SOL, MATIC, DOT, and more. Irys operates as an aggregator and caching layer that sits on top of Arweave. It collects many pieces of data before submitting them onto Arweave in a single transaction.

“While we wanted to use Arweave in the past, the barrier to entry was too high. But when Irys entered the market, it was a game-changer. We can now store crucial information on-chain with simplicity, speed, and ease,” says Jack Xu, co-founder and tech lead at EthSign.

EthSign is a decentralized e-signature platform that utilizes blockchain technology to enhance transparency and security. Its open-source infrastructures are accelerating the maturation of Web3 by pioneering the combination of legal agreements and smart contracts.

EthSign Signatures Beta, the latest version of its e-signature product, provides the same functionality, UX, and legal validity as a Web2 e-signature platform. Users can upload and download documents, create annotation objects such as signing fields, text fields, and checkboxes, invite co-signers, track signing status, and view a history of the entire agreement lifecycle.

To maximize decentralization without sacrificing quality, EthSign uses Arweave via Irys to store its web content.

“For web3 to scale, it needs to have the simplicity and ease we expect from web2 technologies. EthSign is achieving this with its product. It’s using the power of blockchain, and the ease of web2 to empower decentralized organizations,” says Josh Benaron, Founder and CEO of Irys.

All contract data on EthSign is now protected by Arweave via Irys.
