ISBI Institute Graduation — 2019

After a long and fruitful year, the Advanced Entrepreneurship Program graduates came out in numbers to grace the ISBI Institute 2019 Graduation Ceremony.

You could see in each graduate’s face a sense of joy, fulfillment and privilege to have undertaken the program at Strathmore University Business School.

The Advanced Entrepreneurship Program (AEP) is a hands-on, practical and participant-centered, designed to help SMEs detect execution gaps and improve optimization potential hidden in their business. It reflects the current challenges and emerging opportunities in the Kenyan SME market created by disruptive innovation, socioeconomic trends and market volatility.

ISBI Institute’s impact story has always been evident. Alumni who have gone through the program have been consistently impressed by the insights and in-class sessions they have experienced at the institute. Most upon graduation; continuously ask for more. More knowledge, more exposure, more consulting, coaching, mentoring sessions. They simply had their eyes opened and thereafter want to continue with the improvements.

ISBI Alumni over the years have experienced a growth in Owner Cash, Revenue, Value of their business, Employment Opportunities and Attractiveness to Investors. Additionally, Financial Risk Exposure has significantly reduced making it easy for banks to offer loans to our Alumni.

ISBI Institute has partnered with Sidian Bank whose mission is to empower entrepreneurs to create wealth through provision of transformational financial solutions that meet entrepreneurs needs and facilitate growth through convenience and choice. This partnership has seen Sidian Bank clients go through the program at subsidized prices while still getting the full value of AEP.

The graduation was graced by the Sidian Bank CEO Mr. Chege Thumbi who urged all graduates and ISBI Alumni to fully implement what they learnt from the qualified lecturers, coaches, mentors and consultants.

Mr. Joseph Okelo — Former Director Makini Schools & Chairman of the Association of Family Business Enterprises (AFBE) was the key speaker for the day. Joe emphasized on the need for a succession plan because the future is unpredictable. He also gave pointers of how to make your business attractive to investors as his former enterprise Makini School had successfully raised funding from an international investor to scale operations.

Congratulations to our AEP 2019 Cohort. Go forth and conquer the entrepreneurship world!
