Master of Science in Quality Management Science is a two-year program offered by the Indian Statistical Institute with the first year at Bangalore and the second year at Hyderabad. The course is designed to create Data Scientists with exceptional skills in Statistics, Machine Learning, OR, and Quality as major fields. Every organization wants to predict customer behavior and provide insight to strengthen their business with the help of accurate and reliable data using the data-driven analytical approach, extensive statistical analysis, and exploratory and predictive modeling. The program is designed to give the students sound theoretical knowledge with live project applications needed for Data Science, Business Analytics, Machine Learning, Statistical Modelling, Optimization, and Quality Management.

First things first, let's discuss the syllabus of the entrance examination.
According to my friends, who are currently pursuing MS QMS, the important topics are ALGEBRA, MATRIX, and CALCULUS.
The most important sub-topics are:
The examination process has 3 steps.
- Objective Paper(Duration:3 hrs,Number of Question:30)
- Subjective Paper(Duration:3 hrs,Number of Question:8)
After clearing the cutoff, the candidate would be selected for an Interview.

The recommended books/resources for the preparation are:
- RD Sharma Objective: This book is recommended for topics like progression, Binomial theorem, Coordinate geometry,3D geometry,and calculus.
- Fundamental of Mathematical Statistics by Gupta and Kapoor: This book is recommended for topics like Probability,Bayes Theorem,and various distributions.
- The Mathematics of Non-Linear Programming.(only chapter 1)

Some important tips:
- In the objective paper, please don’t guess any questions,mark only those questions that you have solved correctly.
