How to prepare for ISI QROR PQB Engineering?
I hear and I forget. I see and I remember. I do and I understand
Confucius
PQB has two sections one is Mathematics and the other is Engineering section.
I have already written a blog on Mathematics now its a time for the Engineering section.
The engineering section will contain 6 questions.
The syllabus of PQB Engineering section is given below.
As you can see the syllabus has 3 main topics.
- Mechanics and Thermodynamics(most scoring)
- Electrical and Electronics Engineering.(no idea)
- Engineering Drawing(least scoring + time-consuming during examination)
Let's discuss them one by one in detail.
- Mechanics and Thermodynamics: The questions that were asked in the examinations are usually very easy and very approachable in the examination.
The playlist and books that I preferred for Mechanics and Thermodynamics are given below in the table:
I realized that there are certain types of questions are being repeated every year and made a table that is available below.
Try to analyze previous year papers and solve similar questions from P K NAG and R S KHURMI.
2. Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
First, go for the previous year paper, they give the best path for the preparations.
I am from Mechanical but according to a batchmate: Fundamentals Of Electric Circuits By Charles K Alexander & Matthew N O Sadiku and Electrical machines by ashfaq hussain for numericals and PYQs are a must And Made Easy Notes
3. Engineering Drawing:Questions from ED is easy and approachable in the Examination.
I’m giving you the resource that I consulted.
Thermodynamics and Mechanics questions are very easy and these questions are mostly from P K NAG and R S KHURMI.
Solve all the previous year's questions and you get the idea on the trend.
That’s all from my side.
