Making Dhikr Part of Our Lifes.

🌻Dhikr is something I really really want to make part of my life.
I’m hoping it is the thing that’s gonna ultimately soften my heart, get me out of my head and make me more present, free my heart from attaching to all the wrong things, remind me of my place and my purpose and eventually make it harder for me to sin and easier to be more conscious of Allah every hour of the day. .

🌻Back when I was in Umrah, it was much easier to perform dhikr all day because anywhere you look, you see people’s lips moving in dhikr while walking, there are banners everywhere with duas and the name of Allah so you’re always reminded.
Back at home, it’s not the easiest task with all the distractions!

So as an attempt to make this beautiful worship a consistent part of my life, I wanted to share with you some of my favorite Dhikr phrases I want to start repeating all day everyday.

سبحان الله و بحمده × 100
Glory is to Allah and praise is to Him. × 100 .

The Prophet (SAW) said: “Whoever says: “Glorified is Allah and praised is He” one hundred times a day, will have his sins forgiven even if they are like the foam of the sea”.

سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ وَبِحَمْدِهِ وسُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ الْعَظِيمِ .”
Glorified is Allah and praised is He, Glorified is Allah the Most Great”.

سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ، وَالحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ، وَلَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ، وَاللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ
Glorified is Allah, The praise is for Allah,There is none worthy of worship but Allah, Allah is the Most Great.

أَسْتَغْفِرُ اللَّهَ وَأَتُوبُ إِلَيْهِ × 100
I seek the forgiveness of Allah and repent to Him. × 100

حَسْبِيَ اللَّهُ لَآ إِلَهَ إِلَّا هُوَ عَلَيْهِ تَوَكَّلْتُ وَهُوَ رَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيمِ × 7
Allah is sufficient for me. There is none worthy of worship but Him. I have placed my trust in Him, He is Lord of the Majestic Throne. × 7 .

Now, let’s all pick one of these and challenge ourselves to get our lips movin’ with it all day long today and tomorrow and until it becomes an automatic thing for us to do when we’re not talking.
