Pain is just as huge as you allow it to be (and how to make it smaller)

Pain is just as huge as you allow it to be and focusing on it alone will only make it bigger and stronger in your head.
The other side of the coin, however, is not ignoring it and living in denial, but instead, it is creating a balance between pleasure and pain, between the ugly and the beautiful even if you sometimes feel as if you only have eyes for the ugly. But the trick is to keep striving for the positive until it wins over the negative.

Another way to feel bigger than your pain is to talk about it, the more you talk about it, the smaller it will get in your head and the less power it will have to cripple your soul.
The trick is to pick a few caring people that you know will offer you the love, support, and space for you to grow and get your head straight.

God should always be the first of those because He didn’t put pain in your way to see you suffering, He only did so to see you crawling back to Him, to find shelter, support, and safety in His company.

None of this means that your pain is invalid, it is valid and it has consequences but it also has a purpose and the depth of its consequences depends on how deep you allow it to dig inside you.

If there’s any little power left in you (and there always will be), make sure to use it in surrounding yourself with armors that have the power to scare away the crippling pain:

* Seek refuge in and ask help from Almighty;
* Talk about it to loving people whom perspectives will shed a new light on what you’re experiencing;
* Take DAILY walks where your skin is exposed to the sun and your nose is close to fresh leaves and growing trees;
* Don’t shame yourself for feeling a certain way or another, denying it will only make it bigger;
* Take it slow, there is no deadline to your mental wellbeing, it is a priority and putting pressure on it will only spoil the process.
