Catch up with one of India’s Top Digital Planners, Isobar’s Khushboo Parihar
Business World and Digital Market Asia hosted the third season of India’s Top Digital Planners on April 28, 2018. We recently caught up one of Isobar’s winners, Khushboo Parihar to find out more.
You work on the Maruti Suzuki (MSIL) account, how do you find that?
It has been an exciting and challenging journey to work on the biggest Automotive OEM in the country. We work on MSIL like a true integrated team, we’re able to offer 360 degree solutions to any business challenges that they have. Cars being an extremely high involvement product, we customize the media solutions to drive high efficiencies and best results, which have been immensely satisfying, making all the hard work and dedication worthwhile.
You often use emerging media opportunities in your work, why?
Change is the only constant in this world. People evolve, so does media. If we are not part of this evolution we will soon be obsolete. Media too has evolved from being traditional to digital and augmented. With technology advancing all of the time, there have been many innovations on the media front, which aids every planner to sharpen their planning skills and in turn deliver media efficiencies.
If you had one piece of advice for someone looking to go into Media Planning, what would you tell them?
For budding media planners I would just like to advise them to get their hands dirty on data planning more than media, by this I mean be hands on with programmatic and self-serve platforms.
Finally, you have great professional experience from Isobar to Omnicom to Kuware — how has this experience informed your work as a Digital Media Planner today?
Every place has had its role in sharpening my professional career, working on different brands, with different people, values and of course various roles. Every place has a culture of its own and has offered a learning that I believe would not have been possible had I been working with any different set of people. Working on MSIL has definitely been the most challenging journey but the learning curve that I’ve undergone here at Isobar with the guidance of digital stalwarts has been incredible.
