Last weekend, Blooming Twig celebrated its tenth birthday as a company! We thought this was the perfect opportunity for you to learn a little bit more about the team that works on all the great products Blooming Twig has to offer — from book design and editing to the graphics we tweet and post daily! Here’s our story.

Blooming Twig is mainly web-based. Most of the employees have never met each other in person. Our team hails from several states including Ohio, South Dakota, Michigan, Minnesota, New York, Florida, Connecticut, and California. There are even international employees from Spain, Serbia, and Sweden! Time zones can be challenging, but all employees and interns come together for conference calls to keep the company running smoothly.

The diversity doesn’t stop there. Every person at Blooming Twig has a different story for how they got here. Many connected with the company personally, drawn to the collaborative creative feel as well as the convenience of working from home. One person in particular said they connected with Blooming Twig’s mission to make publishing more accessible to any author with a story to tell!

When asked to describe their favorite part of the company, the employee consensus was enthusiastic and clear: the community. Employees also enjoy the flexible hours and the freedom managers give interns to choose their projects. Working at Blooming Twig is truly a collaborative experience and encourages creativity and ownership to the extreme.
