It has been a long five years for Green’s most loyal fans as they waited for a new novel to adorn their bookshelves.

For those of you who don’t know who John Green is, you’re missing out on a brilliant writer of the 21st century! On the real though, John Green is the author of bestselling young adult fiction books such as Looking for Alaska, An Abundance of Katherines, Paper Towns and The Fault in Our Stars. The latter two actually became major films in the recent years.

Overall, Green’s books have been published in 55 languages and over 24 million copies have been sold worldwide!

John Green’s last book, The Fault in Our Stars, a number one New York Times bestseller amongst other prestigious awards, was published in January of 2012 and was transformed onto the big screen in 2014.

I still remember the first time I ever read Looking For Alaska, my 13 year old mind was in awe of the diction Green uses to inspire young readers. One of my favorite lines from this novel is:

“Francois Rabelais. He was a poet. And his last words were “I go to seek a Great Perhaps.” That’s why I’m going. So I don’t have to wait until I die to start seeking a Great Perhaps.” — Looking For Alaska, John Green

And while some of you may be thinking that this quote isn’t as extraordinary as a Shakespearean sonnet, it’s still beautiful prose that really resonates with a lot of young individuals trying to figure out who they are and want to become.

As Green continued to advance in his career as an author, YouTube vlogger and Twitter guru, his novels became even more popular and even better than his previous works.

Now, here we are. A few days after the release of his latest novel, Turtles All the Way Down. Since I have not had the pleasure of reading it yet, I cannot say whether or not it lived up to my expectations. However, I can’t imagine that it’s anything less than phenomenal.

Turtles All the Way Down is about a teenage girl named Aza who begins investigating the mystery of fugitive billionaire, Russell Pickett, with her best friend, Daisy.

Throughout this adventure, Aza is struggling to handle her thoughts as she tries to be a good daughter, a good friend and essentially is battling with the issues any regular teenager endures.

Green’s new book sounds super relatable to the young audience of today and has promising potential to become another bestseller for Green based off of his previous accomplishments.
