For $1,000 you can get exactly 1,500 Krispy Kreme donuts!

Keeping up with the latest trends can be very costly. How much would you be willing to spend to have the hottest gadget on the market?

It’s here! Or should I say, they’re here! Apple just released three new iPhones, the iPhone 8, the iPhone 8 Plus, and *drum roll please* the 10th anniversary iPhone X.

Ah, there’s too many to choose from how could I decide? Well let’s begin with the price, shall we? The iPhone X starts at just $999, no biggie, right? That’s only my entire month’s pay as a full-time college student with a part-time job. Yet, having the coolest iPhone definitely makes up for not being able to pay my bills.

Next, we have the iPhone 8 Plus at the starting price of $799 and the iPhone 8 following at $699. But what’s the point of purchasing either of these?

It’s like buying popcorn at the movie theater. A small bag is $3.00 but there’s not enough popcorn in the bag so you have to go for a medium. The medium is $4.50 but you’re not allowed to have a refill so why not spend the extra $0.50 and buy the large bag for $5.00.

Go big or go home, right?

Are the new iPhones really worth that much money, though? Sure, there are new aspects such as the facial detection and a better camera, amongst other new and improved features, but do you realize just how much you could buy with $1000?

You can purchase a 5-day vacation in Paris, France with flights included for just $599! For $1,000 you can get exactly 1,500 Krispy Kreme donuts! So the question is would you rather have an awesome experience in Paris while eating all the Krispy Kremes you can handle?

Or would you rather spend your hard earned money on the newest gadget on the market which will eventually become obsolete anyway?

The choice is yours, of course. But while you’re trying to get your iPhone X to recognize your face, think about all the donuts you could have had while you sat under the Eiffel Tower in Paris.
