The McLaren Speedtail debut is approaching: the Woking House has announced that the new hybrid hypercar, so far known as the BP23 project, will be unveiled in the early afternoon of Friday October 26th (at 2:00 pm) during a private event in London , reserved for “lucky” customers. The rest of the world will be able to follow the entry into the company of the new model through an online preview, available on the McLaren website.

According to the official website: “The McLaren Speedtail. The Ultimate Hyper-GT. Aerodynamically sculpted to achieve the highest top speed of any McLaren yet. Destined to reach new heights. During the presentation will also be released a series of unpublished data dedicated to the model, including the maximum speed, which — according to what was declared — will be the highest ever recorded by any car produced by the brand. The information currently available is limited to highlighting the use of a hybrid powetrain, capable of developing a total power of more than 1,000 hp and exceeding the threshold of 391 km / h, achieved by the McLaren F1 road. The latter was the source of inspiration for the interior layout, characterized by a central driving position with a passenger seat on each side. Finally, its design will show off a refined aesthetic to achieve maximum aerodynamic efficiency. A thesis supported by today’s teaser, which shows a portion of the back, with particularly taut lines.
Produced in only 106 units — all already sold out — at a price close to two million euros per car, the Speedtail further expands the exclusive range of the Ultimate Series. Not only that: it is the first of the 18 new models that the British manufacturer intends to launch on the market in the coming years, as part of a commercial offensive called Track25. Production will start by the end of the year, with the Special Operations division ready to customize the cars in every detail, so as to better meet the tastes and needs of customers.
