The future of blockchain gaming

In continuance of the last post that went over 3 blockchain games worth trying right now, we will be going over 3 blockchain games to look forward to, including ITAM Network’s in-house game, in this post.

Location-Based Real Estate AR Game, Mossland

Mossland, the mobile AR game based on location, is currently being developed in Korea. It allows users to buy and sell real-life buildings with cryptocurrency. For example, you can buy the Eiffel Tower in Paris, or the Namsan Tower in Seoul, and also decorate it with various accessories as you wish. Mossland has been gaining heavy interest, as it sold out all of its Mossland Coins (MOC) in just 38 minutes after the launch of its pre-ICO sale. It seems that the entertaining idea of incorporating AR and blockchain has been the core reason game users have been having such high interest in the game. However, the game isn’t expected to be available to play until the first half of 2019, and the lack of additional information is making it difficult to predict exactly what kind of game it’ll be.

Collectible Card Game, Zombie Battleground

Zombie Battleground, the game being developed by the Thailand company famous for SDK and DAPP coding tutorials, Loom Network, is a collectible card game similar to Blizzard’s Hearthstone. Raising already $350,000 on Kickstarter, Zombie Battleground is a PvP card battle that many people are already accustomed to, and even though the main content of its game is collecting cards, all of the features of the game is based on blockchain, unlike Mossland. This is why it’s attracting the attention of not only people in the blockchain industry, but average users as well. Currently, the gameplay video of the game’s alpha version and the installation file are out, and an update for the complete version is coming soon. If you are waiting for a 100% blockchain game, keep your eyes out!

An RPG Game Everyone Knows and Loves, BlueDawn

The traditional RPG game, ‘BlueDawn’ (temp. name), that we at ITAM Network are developing is an RPG-type game that everyone knows and loves when they think of “games.” Rare items and possessions will be recorded in blocks for eternal possession, and users can sell and buy the digital assets on the ITAM Network that’s linked to the game. Unlike the previous two games that are being developed based on Ethereum, Blue Dawn is based on EOS, which does not require fees for users and has one of the fastest transaction speeds. We are working diligently to make the most entertaining RPG game that not only has similar gameplay in terms of creating and building a virtual character and collecting items as existing games, but allows users to gain profit through the items they collect. View the gameplay trailer for ITAM Network’s BlueDawn below.

According to the whitepapers of the above games, we should have blockchain games that are just as, if not more, great in terms of quality and technology as current existing games by 2019. Yes, we shouldn’t jump to conclusions; but hopefully we will be able to play games that actually incorporates blockchain in a meaningful way very soon. In the next post, we will be going over games that aren’t blockchain-based currently, but would be awesome if they do incorporate blockchain technology into their games.
