It’s almost been two months since the EOS Block Explorer developed by ITAM Network called EOScanner has been announced to the world. Today, we will take a deeper look at the EOScanner that’s even being used by the Korea’s large coin exchange, Bithumb.

Various Information in a Detailed and Convenient Way

First, when you enter EOScanner, you can see a variety of information regarding EOS on the dashboard. As you can see from the first page, we have decided to take a minimalist layout approach with high visibility for EOScanner. Next, if you search an account, you can conveniently see a page with the EOS balance and resources, as well as tokens held, actions, and contracts on the bottom. In addition, the tokens are provided in dollar conversion to enhance the intuitiveness of the necessary information for the users.

Contract Table Information and Full Node Connection

The information mentioned above can be seen in majority of existing EOS Explorers. What sets EOScanner apart is that it provides a contract category that allows you to see the table data as well. This is a main reason why EOScanner has been gaining great interest amongst EOS developers. Furthermore, EOScanner has been connected to the EOS Full Node that ITAM has been preparing, allowing for faster and more accurate information to be available.

A Quick Q&A with the EOScanner Developer, Dongjun Kwon

We have prepared a short Q&A with the EOScanner developer, Dongjun Kwon, going over the preparation process and the future plans for EOScanner, the product that both the planner and developer put a lot of work into.

Question: How would you describe EOScanner in one sentence?

Dongjun: I would say it’s a “simple, yet strong EOS Block Explorer.”

Question: I heard there were some difficulties in developing EOScanner

Dongjun: Definitely. As I wrote in “The Procedure of EOScanner Development” post, there weren’t enough references to refer to, the BPs that we had to connect our service to all had different data, and most importantly, the fact that we needed to rely on the BPs to make our service.

Question: Then what kind of service do you think EOScanner be from now on?

Dongjun: We’ve recently dramatically increased the service speed and accuracy by having our own EOS Full Node in the company. Also, we believe we can solve the weakness of having to rely on the BPs, and through this, we will update the block explorer with the focus of serving the core values to the users. Interest and love for EOScanner would be greatly appreciated.
