Introducing ITAM & Social Login

ITAM Games is happy to announce that the new feature of logging onto the ITAM Store by signing up for an ITAM Account and through your social media accounts (Facebook and Google) is coming very soon!
Background
EOS Account necessity is a huge obstacle in the mass adoption of the EOS blockchain. Not only is it inconvenient for users to have to input an extremely long string of code (known as the private key) when they log into their accounts, but it poses grand security threats. And not to mention, the process of account creation in itself is a huge headache.
Solving this hurdle is critical in onboarding the general public; the process of joining a service should be smooth and seamless, especially when the service like blockchain is relatively new and unknown, yet trying to appeal to the masses. Ultimately, users should be able to use the blockchain service, in our case the ITAM Store, without even knowing that they are using blockchain technology. “Play-to-Earn” should be just that: Play for fun while also earning rewards for your time and effort.
Thus, in order to bridge the gap between ITAM Store and people unfamiliar with blockchain, we have created a way for these users to enjoy our service without having to create or possess an EOS account!

Social Login
Imagine if being able to log onto the ITAM Store and using the blockchain technology of ITAM Games was as easy as linking your Facebook account. Well, now it is! With the new Social Login feature, users will be able to login and reap the benefits of the ITAM Store without having to create an EOS account or inputting their private keys. This is possible by using the Social Login feature, which will initially have Facebook and Google account capabilities, to connect with the ITAM Store.
When one links their Facebook or Google account to the ITAM Store, they will be able to create a corresponding ITAM ID with that social media account. By creating this ITAM ID, users will be able to login and use the ITAM Store with this ITAM ID.
ITAM Account Login
Another way users can log into the ITAM Store without having to have an EOS account is by directly creating an ITAM ID. By signing up for an ITAM ID with their email, users are able to log into and enjoy the ITAM Store and the games on the platform with the ITAM account, hereinafter.
ITAM & Social vs. EOS Account
Now, you may be wondering what the difference between logging in with an ITAM/Social account and EOS account is. Without going too deep into the technicalities of the feature, the ITAM/Social login feature is basically a stepping stone for users that are not very familiar with blockchain to enter the world of blockchain gaming.
Users can see and use the various features of the ITAM Store like that of with an EOS account (play blockchain games on the ITAM Store, transact digital assets, view accomplishments/leaderboards, etc.), minus the hassle of EOS account creation. The necessary resources required for EOS account creation are all covered, users just need to login and enjoy the ITAM Store by using their ITAM ID.
The EOS or other rewards the users receive and/or the digital assets the users acquire by playing games will be stored on their ITAM ID. This ITAM ID will essentially be like their EOS account; users will be able to see the digital assets they possess, and will also be able to transact their digital assets associated with their ITAM ID on the ITAM DADEX (Digital Asset Decentralized Exchange) once the DADEX launches. Furthermore, users can search their ITAM ID on the ITAM Market website to see their progress on the ITAM Store and the games on the Store.
As mentioned before, the ITAM ID and Social Account login serves as a stepping stone for the general public to take baby steps into the blockchain world. Once they familiarize themselves with the tech and feel that they are ready to create and own their own EOS account, they may do so. We at ITAM Games would like to provide a smooth experience for everyone in enjoying the ITAM Store and blockchain games.
