ITAM Games is a company seeking to create a transparent gaming ecosystem by incorporating blockchain technology into traditional mobile games. To achieve this goal, having a strong, robust community is crucial, as the community members are the backbones of spreading the vision of ITAM Games to the world. To this end, having a strong presence on social media is critical, as there really is no such thing as social media to connect the different people all around the world. That is why ITAM Games has created and is managing various social media platforms; to engage community participation and enhance users’ experiences.

In this “digital” day and age, not only is having social media channels significant, but it’s as (if not more) important to know which channels can achieve what objectives, and to know what values the different platforms can serve. Let’s take a look at what social media platforms ITAM Games is using, and what/how each of these services seeks to accomplish.

Language Distribution

Let’s first look at ITAM Games on a macro scale before diving deeper into the detailed social media channels. ITAM Games is based in South Korea, but is a global company; this means that although the company and its members are majority Korean-speaking and operates in Korean, our target market is not only Korea but the global market itself. Thus, the services and content we offer must be offered in not only the Korean language, but also other languages as well. Currently, ITAM Games offers two other languages of English and Chinese, and we are expecting to expand our global reach with more languages in the near future.

So, ITAM Games offers its services in three languages at the moment: Korean, English, and Chinese. This means that we need social media channels for each of these languages (obviously), as our Korean users won’t understand when we post notices and content in English, and our English-speaking friends won’t understand what we’re talking about when we speak in Chinese. Moreover, each country/language has its own social media platforms that they use. For example, Facebook and Twitter are the main channels for our English-speaking users, whereas our users in China don’t really use these platforms. Thus, we had to create channels that matches our users needs.

Therefore, we can see it as under the big tree of “ITAM Games’ Social Media Presence,” there are different branches extending out based on language. Let’s look at each of these branches a little deeper.

The English Branch

With it being the most widely used language in the world, English is a must for ITAM Games when it comes to social media. Furthermore, English has the most channels amongst the 3 languages. The social media platforms used by ITAM Games in English are as follows:

Telegram, Discord, Twitter, Facebook, Medium, YouTube, Reddit and LinkedIn.

As mentioned above, each and every one of these platforms serve different purposes. If “social media” can be seen as the “ITAM Tree,” then the languages of English, Korean, and Chinese can be seen as the “branches” of the tree, and the different social channels can be seen as the “leaves” attached to the branches. Going even deeper into it, let’s look at what each of the social media channels represent.

Telegram

Telegram is an instant messaging service, and is used by ITAM Games to have direct communications with our users not only one-on-one, but as a community. There are three English Telegram channels of ITAM Games: (1) The official English Telegram channel, (2) The ITAM Games News Telegram channel, and (3) The DarkTown Telegram channel.

The official English Telegram channel is the platform that all English-speaking users can come to communicate with not only ITAM Games admins, but also other users of ITAM Games services. To follow, click here → https://t.me/itamgames

The ITAM Games News Telegram channel is moreso a place where users can receive the latest ITAM Games related updates, rather than for communications. It’s a one-way channel where ITAM Games uploads news and announcements for the users. To follow, click here → https://t.me/itamgames_news

The DarkTown Telegram channel is just as what the name represents: for “DarkTown” gamers. DarkTown is a game offered on the ITAM Store, and the first RPG released by ITAM Games that has NFTs. Players can communicate with other players and discuss strategies, tips, and other game-related topics here. To follow, click here → https://t.me/DarkTownITAM

Discord

Discord was recently added to the ITAM Games’ list of social media channels, as a lot of our users requested a Discord channel. Unlike Telegram, Discord allows for different “categories” under the ITAM Games Discord, and also many “channels” can be created for each category. For example, under the “ITAM Store” category, there are the channels “announcements,” “general,” “events,” “community,” and “bug report.”

Thus, it is filtered and categorized in a much simpler and efficient way, so that users can come into and communicate in the “channels” that suits their needs. To follow, click here → https://discord.gg/QtMVFtu

Twitter

Twitter has the largest following amongst the ITAM Games social media channels. And this makes sense, as almost every company in this day and age has a Twitter account. Twitter is used to not only update ITAM Games supporters of the different news regarding ITAM, but also to show a more personal side of ITAM Games! Facebook

Facebook is one of the most important platforms to acquire new users, as Facebook ads are integral in gaining exposure. Through the various content shared on the ITAM Games Facebook channel, as well as the advertisements that are targeted to drive in new users, ITAM Games seeks to grow the pool of users. Medium

Short and concise updates and announcements can be made easily on other platforms, such as Twitter or Telegram. However, longer posts and content cannot be uploaded on these sites. Thus, the Medium channel allows for a more extended means of info-sharing. Blog posts, guides, and any content that requires paragraphs of writing, Medium is used. To follow, click here → https://medium.com/itam

YouTube

As you may have already guessed, YouTube offers ITAM Games content in video form; from game trailers to guides showing how to use services, the ITAM Games YouTube channel is used for video content. To subscribe, click here → https://www.youtube.com/c/itamgames

Reddit

ITAM Games has two different subreddits: ITAM Games (https://www.reddit.com/r/ITAMGames/) and DarkTown (https://www.reddit.com/r/DarkTown/). These were created with the intention of having user-generated content, and opposed to how Telegram offers “real-time” communications, the subreddits offer discussions amongst community members that isn’t constrained by time.

LinkedIn

And finally, the ITAM Games LinkedIn account is to not only share ITAM content with other professionals, but to introduce ITAM Games as a company to others. https://www.linkedin.com/company/itamgames

The Korean Branch

Because ITAM Games is based in South Korea, ITAM Games has numerous Korean users. Thus, having social media channels specifically for Korean users is necessary. There are two main Korean channels that are used by ITAM Games (there are other mediums used, such as KakaoTalk, forums, and more, but these two are the main ones).

Telegram

Apart from the English channels, ITAM Games has a Telegram channel just for Korean users. The purpose of this is the same as the English Telegram group, but has a different pool of users that’s Korean. To follow, click here → https://t.me/itamgameskr

Tistory

Longer posts in English are to Medium, as longer posts in Korean are to Tistory. Content that’s longer in length are posted on the ITAM Games Tistory platform. To follow, click here → http://itam.tistory.com

The Chinese Branch

The Chinese market makes up a huge portion of ITAM Games’ current and potential userbase, and so it’s a no brainer that we have social media platforms specifically for Chinese users.

WeChat

WeChat is an instant messaging app, and serves a similar role as what Telegram plays in the English and Korean communities. It is a means for direct contact with the ITAM Games followers, and also for inter-user communications. To follow, please add the ID “zhaohuiling227” and get an invitation from our Chinese Community Manager, Luna.

Weibo

Weibo serves many different purposes at ITAM Games. Think of it as a mixture of Medium and YouTube for the English community; it’s used to post longer content, as well as videos (since YouTube is blocked in China). You can follow here → https://www.weibo.com/7188374585/profile?topnav=1&wvr=6&is_all=1

Bihu

And finally, Bihu is another Chinese platform that is used by ITAM Games to upload lengthier posts. In order to attract wider audiences, both Weibo and Bihu are used. You can follow here → https://bihu.com/people/1843789159

The Extended Branch

There are two other means of content sharing: The Ultimate ITAM Store Guide and the Newsletter.

The Ultimate ITAM Store Guide shows various guides regarding the services offered by ITAM Games, such as downloading and installing the ITAM Store, playing games on PC using an emulator, signing up for an ITAM account, and more. You can check out the guide here → https://guide.itam.store

Moreover, the ITAM Games Newsletter is sent out on a weekly basis every Friday to update followers on what went on the past week at ITAM Games. You can subscribe to the Newsletter here → https://itam.games/

Summary

That concludes today’s content on the ITAM Social Media Tree, and why each and every one of the different channels were created/are being used. The branches and the leaves all combine to make up the “ITAM Social Media Tree.” Each branch and each leaf plays a critical role in the overall structure of the Tree.
