Adapting to remote working is running smoothly, but what about remote partying? At iTech, we love a party, but it’s safe to say there’s been no bigger party pooper than 2020. We’ve spoken to Thea from our Operations team (our real-life Christmas elf) to hear how they’re planning on making our office Christmas party an unforgettable experience. Here are her top tips:

1. Gift Them Gift Boxes

“Christmas is a time of giving and receiving so we love giving our employees epic and bespoke gift hampers. Everyone loves a present, so this is an instant winner. Our hampers are filled with tasty treats, festive tipples and more fun surprises. We keep it inclusive by checking for dietary requirements and offer choices of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. Our goal is to make everyone’s hamper feel like it’s made just for them — because it is!”

2. Engage the Users

“Making a Zoom call exciting is no easy feat. I can’t give too much away — I know my team might be reading this — but we’ve secured an awesome host for the night. There are lots of super fun festive activities planned and of course, we have a few more surprises up our sleeves…”

3. More the Merrier

“We know the reality of a zoom party means that family, housemates and pets might be coming in and out of the room. That’s why we choose to invite everyone in our Arch’s home to join in. We want to spread the festive spirit for everyone. We even held a child-friendly zoom panto so our Archs with kids could put their feet up.”

4. All Bases Covered

“Another way we’re making our Christmas party inclusive is acknowledging not everyone feels comfortable in the spotlight. For those who would rather kick back with their nibbles and drinks (thank you, hamper) and just enjoy the entertainment, we’ve got you covered. We try and keep involvement optional because we don’t want to make anyone feel uncomfortable. It’s a party after all!”
