Meet Danny, an SEO Specialist for Sports at iTech

We sat down with Danny, an iTech SEO Specialist who joined in October 2022. He’s an expert in SEO strategies, website health, and search engine rankings!

Can you tell us a little bit about your background and how you came to be an SEO Specialist for Sports at iTech? 🏈

Sure! Before joining iTech, I cut my teeth as a junior at an agency in Hertfordshire, working on some big-name accounts like Hobbycraft, Dyson, and Clarks. In 2019, I took a dive into the world of iGaming, focusing on English-speaking markets as an SEO Specialist for Betway. After that, I was with Oddschecker before finally finding my way to iTech in October 2022.

What does a typical day look like for you, and what are some of the key tasks that you focus on? 🔎

For me, I’m always on the hunt for the best ways to help our customers find us! My daily routine is a mix of analyzing search engine rankings and traffic, identifying technical issues, tweaking on-page elements and collaborating with Digital PR to develop off-page strategies. And don’t forget competitor analysis — I’m always keeping a close eye on what they’re up to! 👀

What drew you to iTech, and what do you like most about working here?

One of the things that drew me to iTech was the flexibility to work in a way that suits me best. I’m grateful for the opportunity to work remotely, and for the support I receive from my team to achieve my goals. It’s also a real pleasure to be part of such an awesome team, and I’m excited to see what the future holds! 🤸🏼‍♀️ ✊🏼

Speaking of goals, what are some of yours for this year? 🥅

My number one priority this year is to play a key role in establishing and growing iTech’s products in new up-and-coming markets. It’s an exciting challenge, and I’m up for it!

So enough about work, what is your favourite decade and why? 📺 ☮️✌

I have to say that the 2010s were pretty epic for me. I was in my 20s, partying, DJing at raves, and going to festivals. I even managed to be a responsible adult at times by getting married and buying my first house. But I’ve always been fascinated by the culture and music of the 60s and 70s — it just looked like a really cool time to be alive! 🕺

And lastly…… what’s a fun fact about yourself?

Sure! I DJ’d at Outlook Festival in Croatia back in 2012! 🎧 📀 🇭🇷
