Expanding our Gamer Passport Technology into the egld.gg Universe
We’re delighted to announce our newest partnership with egld.gg, which will join our network of guild partners. They will aim to adopt our exclusive Gamer Passport (powered by NFMe ID Data Avatar Technology), which sets out to enable players across the globe to own and trade their game-play data. egld.gg is the first gaming guild to launch on and be exclusively focused on the MultiversX blockchain, and we are very excited to embark on this journey together.
A gaming guild is a collection or group of gamers that organize to play online digital games together and share their data. egld.gg will connect projects in the Gamefi industry with gaming enthusiasts worldwide. Itheum will partner and collaborate with their team to bring our principal Gamer Passport technology to the egld.gg, empowering gamers to own and trade their Web3 gaming data.
Partnership Details
egld.gg is only the second project to be onboarded to empower player data ownership through gaming guilds, but the first in MultiversX. Thus, players will be rewarded from playing and leveraging their gaming and social data. Our Gamer Passport product will provide distinctive new value to Web3 gaming guilds as they seek to unlock valuable gamer insights that were previously inaccessible.
Once our Gamer Passport technology has been implemented, gamers can mint and claim an NFMe ID Avatar (a soulbound NFT linked to their identity) which will exist in their cryptocurrency wallets.Gamers can now claim and own their on-chain and off-chain player data as they move between guilds and the broader Web3 gaming ecosystem, carrying their Gamer Passport with them, doubling as a Gamer CV.
egld.gg will be integrating Itheum’s Discord “data adaptor bot” into their server, which will serve two essential purposes:
- Allowing their users to mint their NFME ID and attach their Discord ID to their NFMe ID.
- To track the Social performance within their Discord Server, also known as “Social Score.”
Therefore, these off-chain data sets will be able to demonstrate their community engagement, sentiment, productivity, and more. This measurement of community involvement is becoming increasingly crucial for projects like egld.gg, which prides itself on its community — they’ll gain access to these powerful insights by working with Itheum.
This integration will also allow insights into players’ gaming performance and earnings across different timescales, such as daily, weekly, and monthly. The data retrieved from Gamer Passports will live within a linked Data Coalition DAO and be bulk tradeable with interested parties.
Furthermore, once the player creates their NFMe ID, they can view it as an NFT in their wallet. The player will have their own dashboard to monitor and track their performance.
Looking Ahead
This collaboration will allow gamers in the MultiversX ecosystem to create an additional revenue stream from their skills, allowing them to take ownership of their gaming data while trading it using our P2P technology. Both projects will work closely to discover exciting and innovative games within the MultiversX Ecosystem. Moreover, suppose you’re an egld.gg gamer seeking to further your skills or a guild aiming to attract the best gamers; you will be able to discover and access high-value data and insights via primary and secondary data markets.
Additionally, egld.gg will participate in our Pilot DAO activities, where we will look to simulate the pricing and terms of use of data with other parties.
