Program Overview:
The Itheum xPand Grants Program showcases our commitment to community engagement, inclusivity, transparency, and the broader good of the Web 3.0 ecosystem. Our goal is to empower projects to Build On Itheum, contributing towards the future of the data economy and hence enabling the world to experience data ownership like never before.
Ecosystem Support:
The Itheum xPand Grants Program has allocated 1,000,000 $ITHEUM tokens to bolster ecosystem support. This support is channelled through a multi-level structure to aid various projects within the ecosystem.
Initial Phase:
In the first leg of the program, the Itheum Protocol will allocate 500,000 $ITHEUM tokens to remarkable projects budding from the ongoing MultiversX hackathon This allocation is designated for a maximum of 10 projects with a cap of 50,000 $ITHEUM tokens each, though adjustments can be made based on the specifics detailed in the application form. Should fewer than 10 projects be selected for any reason, the residual tokens earmarked for this phase will be redirected to future phases.
Within the “future of technology” stream of the hackathon, Ithuem is sponsoring the Infrastructure and dev tooling track which encompasses an opportunity to build a robust architecture and an array of developer tools that streamline creation, deployment and scaling.

Selection Criteria:
Outstanding projects will be selected on the following parameters:
- Original Ideas: Gauging the uniqueness and creativity of the project concept, targeting novel ideas within its domain.
- Innovative: Searching for innovative strategies and solutions within the project, with an emphasis on presenting fresh viewpoints or techniques.
- Usage of Itheum Technology: Examining how well the project integrates or leverages Itheum technology, highlighting a significant connection with our tech stack.
- Real World Use Cases: Assessing the practicality and applicability of the project in real-world settings, particularly its capability to tackle real-world issues or needs.
- Working Prototype: Looking for a functional prototype or proof of concept for the project, showcasing tangible progress or a working model.
Once a project meets the selection criteria, it progresses to the next round where teams can apply through the application form, indicating their desired level of support.
Note: Selection of projects is at the discretion of the Itheum Team. Final decisions will be based on the aforementioned criteria and other pertinent factors.
