How it effects society…

There are lingering problems in society that appear to be individual based, because of that the issue doesn't become a priority. But when enough people are impacted by that same issue it becomes societal. Depression is one of the problems in society that may seem individual when in fact more and more people are struggling, these people have a role in society but if they are having difficulties with their own mental and physical state then society, . these symptoms impact the individual’s degree of functionality as a citizen and social impairment.

Depression is not one mental health problem, but a compilation of symptoms including absence positive affect, low mood, low emotional state, cognitive, physical and behavioral symptoms. There are different levels of severity but depression is a disorder that is not always present nor is it constantly straining the individual, but it is with the person dormant susceptible to react to emotional status impacting their. This can be seen by different behaviors; for example, in one instance an individual may have a normal day with no sign of symptom until waking up the following morning with depression back. Others may be sensitive to events or situations that allow emotions to resurface leading to a depressive state.
There needs to be a change or the many individuals that make the society what it is will lead to the degradation of the social structures. The issue of depression is one that poison’s the individual, taking a high functioning person and leaving them unable to do the simplest task like getting up in the morning. If a person can’t get up then that person can’t do their part for society.
