Week 4 Process
Concept & Design
This week was focused primarily on taking the concepts developed by research and competitive analysis and formulate designs for a product.
My concept is designed to create a positive waking experience facilitated by coffee. I plan to create a smart-phone alarm clock application which controls the on/off switch of a coffee pot. The user would fill the coffee pot with ground beans and water the night before. Then the alarm clock application will turn the coffee pot on 10 minutes before it rings — giving you fresh coffee as soon as you wake up.

Hardware
I was able to successfully control an AC/DC relay over the internet using only a web app and the Spark Core. In the name of experimentation I added some sensors to the Spark Core to report back to the web app. This was also I success. Perhaps I will be able to use that to further develop the coffee pot side of the project.
