The landing page of NYT is filled with all the different news and statistics concerning ongoing elections. I am not very interested in that.

But because I have bought its premium subscription, I decided to explore the website and its archives a little. Yes, I still play Wordle everyday.

I started reading random articles that seemed interesting. Jumping from books to movie reviews to opinions to the recent COP 27 climate summit — to the rise of Colleen Hoover again.

In the midst of this exploration, I landed on a beautiful poem. Its very concept appealed to me.

It was collectively written by more than 1,300 teenagers.

Wait, what? There’s no way I am going to miss this one.

Though the poem is not at all poetic, it still is one of the best I have ever read, if not tops the charts altogether.

‘Small Kindnesses’: A Collaborative Poem by Teenagers From Around the World is the poem I am talking about.

It features small kindnesses that people found heart-touching and remember well after they had experienced it.
