We feel something but don’t know why. This may lead to frustration and disappointment and low self-esteem.

I don’t know about you, but as a teenager, a million things keep going on in my mind—some real and some totally made up. You know what I mean, right?

What to do?

Look, I’m not an advisor. But lately, I was extremely distracted, not able to put my fingers to keyboard or pen to paper (write class notes).

I was about to write an article but I became so frustrated I deleted it altogether. Instead, I tried to write about my feeling. I was confused, and so is that article, but I can’t tell you how much it eased me. Those emotions were now less aggressive on me.

You can read that piece here:

Trust me, I’m not making it up. I felt it so I wrote.

When you feel anything that you think is weird, to say it broadly, document it or talk about it

  • Write about it.
  • Record yourself saying it all… raw.
  • Talk to your friend, family or someone you trust or think will help you out (teachers or relatives, for instance).
  • Self-talk. Stand in front of a mirror and speak to yourself. Ask yourself some open-ended questions and see if it helps.

Look, it might seem cliche but it’s super helpful. I experienced it today only. Choose any above option according to your comfort and circumstances and experience it for yourself.
