My day starts off with… A team standup, to discuss what we want to complete during the day and check we’ve got everything we need to complete our tasks.

At ITV, I am responsible for… Embedding cyber security within one of our Scala development teams, and my focus is within the Identity and Payments platform. This means I am also responsible for creating a clear channel of communication between the backend and cyber security.

Alongside security responsibilities, I spend half my time writing Scala, as I’m a Junior and new to Scala I tend to do this pairing with other developers. The most recent bit of Scala work was to help work on our progressive sign up project.

I found ITV when… I was looking for a grad scheme that would allow me to have exposure to a range of different tech skills, as by the end of my degree I wasn’t exactly sure which area of tech I wanted to go into.

A normal working day has me… feeling well-connected and that I have learnt something new.

Outside of work, I’m interested in… I enjoy going out with friends, socialising and trying new cuisines.

The most memorable moment at ITV was… most work nights out are pretty memorable, but probably when I went into Grays Inn Road for the first time after I had seen it on the Friday Quiz.

My favourite part of my job… the people I meet and work with, everyone’s super supportive and always willing to help me.

The most challenging thing I learnt recently was… it’s completely fine to feel out of your depth.
