Ghosts, Goblins and Ghouls oh my! IFF’s 2015 Annual Halloween Short Screenplay Competition

Runner-up Nate Burke ’17 and his script “Potential Collab”

From October 24th-November 4th, 2015 Ivy Film Festival held its annual Halloween Short Screenplay Contest. Screenwriters were invited to submit short scripts that fell within the horror, supernatural, and/or psychological thriller genre. Although the IFF Screenplay team provided several prompts to inspire writers, they were not required to be used in the script entries.

The 1st Place winning script is “Luke” by Marcelo Rivera-Figueroa ’18. In “Luke”, two friends have made a life for themselves in the zombie apocalypse, until a new danger threatens one of their pair.

The Runner-Up script is “Potential Collab” by Nate Burke ’17. In “Potential Collab”, music-maker Yals begins exploring more and more abnormal sources of sound for his new track.
