On December 10, 2015, IFF offered a much-needed study break from the stress of finals week with a free advanced screening of ‘Pride and Prejudice and Zombies.’ The horror-comedy asks us to reimagine Jane Austen’s 19th century English novel in the context of a zombie epidemic. The book’s beloved heroines are recast as gun-toting, machete-wielding zombie slayers, who must now face undead hordes in addition to the usual pressures of courtship. A full audience of Brown students paused their studies to see the entertaining mashup — IFF’s last screening of the fall semester.
