IxDA partners with Adobe to advance Interaction Design’s global impact
Interaction Week is one of the most anticipated times of the year in the IxDA calendar. More than 1,500 interaction designers from over 30 countries gather for a program that includes an IxD Education Summit, Student Design Charette, workshops, and a 3-day conference. Gatherings of this scale are only possible with the support of valued partners like Adobe.
Today, as an outcome of Interaction Week 2018, we’re proud to announce we have forged a formal alliance between IxDA and Adobe to drive interaction design practice, and the awareness of it’s impact, forward.
At the 2018 Local Leaders Retreat in Lyon, France, I was joined by Adobe’s Andre Jay Meissner to lead a discussion on how Adobe can help:
- facilitate knowledge transfer between professionals and those entering the practice;
- provide value and visibility for IxDA community — both globally and spotlighting local group activities; and
- provide a space where designers can better interact with Adobe to shape the future of tools and services.
The discussion participants represented a cross section of IxDA’s community leadership — a community that numbers more than 200 local groups and over 100,000 individuals worldwide.
This collaboration between IxDA and Adobe doesn’t mark the beginning of a relationship — it solidifies a commitment by Adobe to ongoing support of the IxDA community and the design community at large.
