Career Roadmap ?

In age of 24, year that near with quarter-life-crisis, i started asking myself what gonna for next couple years. Do I need have a good career, or study first ?

Maybe this question is quite common for young people around this age. The age that start questioning their self, who they really are and what are they gonna do ? Anxious with future, some of them (include me) start to seek a good career, to make a good family so they can afford what they want and needs (most of them for social purpose-maybe. CMIWW).

For me, i really want to continue my study to Master level. But i started questioning, what kind of master that you want pursue ?

For sure, i want to continue my master in design degree, not a business degree like most of my friend do. Why ? The reason is simple, i like to study and learn the core. Business is important and isn’t a simple thing to do (even a lot people tell me that you can learn business by yourself, or autodidact). But i believe that i can lean this to other people (friend or colleague of mine) to do business things. I want to learn the core first.

For the analogy, image an ice cream, Core things is the ice cream itself, and business is like whip cream. You can sell the ice cream, and use whip cream to add the value. But you still can sell ice cream without the cream, because the value is still remain on it, ice cream. Unlike whip cream, you can’t sell the whip cream because it’s only enhancing the value of ice cream. Whip cream can add a lot of value, but without ice cream, it doesn’t mean anything.

For searching the answer, so i start to make a road map, about the choices that i can take for next couple years, study. I want to share it, for purpose of archiving my own data and inspire reader to help them search the answer they seek. I split it into the type of study, and what that i can do after i finished it.
