Vagaries Cloud All Meaning.

I have a tendency to write stories that are vague, mysterious, open ended. The problem with this is that they are often, in fact, quite weak. I need to focus on clarity, precision, power. The allusion to something poignant is ineffective when vagaries cloud all meaning. Keep it clear. Figure out the point. Make the point. Has it taken me this long to realise that my ambiguous storytelling is likely related to my ambiguous goals in life?
