J12 is looking for a Venture Analyst

We’re a Stockholm-based early-stage VC, backing hungry teams seizing groundbreaking opportunities enabled by software and data.
We like to invest with full conviction and early on. To date, our initial investments have been between €0.1–1.8m.

“No mellanmöjlk” is our motto — and frankly it takes years of Swedishness to fully indulge the depth of those words. But in short it means, no half-things, no compromises. Things done with full conviction. Go big, or go home.

By the way, our team consists of a Swedish-American, a French-Swede, an Irish-Englishman, a Serbian-Swede, a Swiss, a Swedish-Finn and a Jämtlänning. So, no. We’re not exactly Swedish.

Is this you?

• You’re kind of a nerd — you prefer to know stuff rather than to guesstimate
• You’re analytical and logical — you like to look at all kind of statistics and draw conclusions from them
• You’re always curious and interested in new technologies, business models and innovation in general
• Google is your second home — if you don’t know something you’ll find it within seconds
• You know your way around numbers — a financial model as well as a dashboard with growth metrics
• You probably have worked for 1–3 years within VC, finance, management consulting, or a tech startup
• A plus if you know how to code to automate some of your workflows
• Your friends think that you have a great sense for business
• You’re independent and ambitious as well as a generous team player

Your responsabilities

• Screening investment opportunities for a match with our investment thesis
• Desktop research on live deals, supporting the deal team with insights and analysis
• Thematic research within fields of our interest
• Develop internal investment processes, e.g. in relation to deal sourcing
