I often get questions from listeners and event attendees about how organizations can sustain certain things such as tenure, growth, revenue, and innovation. My answer to this question is always you can’t sustain these things, nor should you want to try. When I think of sustaining, I think of status quo versus movement and evolution. You can’t sustain these things when the workplace is changing so dramatically. Instead, you must adapt and evolve with the changes that we are starting to see. Your organization should move from maintaining the status quo to progressive thinking.
