Damn you. Damn these lessons.

Every time I want to run and hide, something you said jumps to the forefront of my mind.
Every time I get angry, I’m now forced to process it for what it actually is.
Every time I just want to lash out and give up, you remind me that it’s not that simple.

They force me to look further than the horizon and stay focused on the joys of the journey,
not the potholes.
