We at Jalapeño is committed to helping students start their career strong. Two ways we support students is by offering coop positions with extensive opportunities for experience and through speaking at events to share insight that cannot be learned in a lecture hall. It is very important for us to support students in any way we can because the students today will be our leaders tomorrow! They never fail to impress us with their ideas, their efforts and what they are capable of.
Our Principal Samin Saadat shared her story on how Sauder School of Business-MM empowered her to develop the critical skills, meeting the right people and making the right decisions to grow significantly and make her dream come true.
The human brain, behaviour and interactions with their environment never fail to intrigue Samin Saadat . After spending long hours in psychology labs at UBC and completing her Masters at the Sauder School of Business, she entered the workforce and observed a gap between what research suggests and what companies actually do to increase productivity and profitability. Now, Samin is on a mission to bridge this gap through Jalapeño Employee Engagement — leveraging technology and professional human services to bring research findings to life to help companies save invaluable dollars and to help individuals enhance their quality of life.
