With a huge smile on his face, Ivan Baptiston, Head of Iguassu National Park, a World Heritage Site, summed up his impression after visiting the camp and the JamCam Scout Center.

Ivan was welcomed this afternoon (10/01) by the Coordinator of the Inter-American Development Village, Gabriela Gazola, who accompanied him throughout the camp — especially the village bases. The Head of Iguassu National Park met some of the workshops developed by JamCam partners, including the Onças do Iguaçu Project.

“Your organization allows you to gather 6,000 young people at a highly professional and educational event where each one knows about their activity and how to replicate information and guidance to their troops and teams, I am very impressed. It’s an amazing job, you are neatly crazy! ”, he got excited.

Baptiston enjoyed learning more about Scouting’s educational and value propositions. “Respect for differences and values such as hierarchy and moral conduct, the skills and manual dexterity and awakening of different areas of knowledge that are useful for scouts and society,” he added.

Iguaçu National Park was a partner of JamCam. There they were visiting all the nearly six thousand young people and two thousand adults of the service teams in the Nature Exploration module. Coincidentally, today the park celebrates its 81 years of foundation. The park protects an area of 185 thousand hectares of Atlantic Forest and a rich biodiversity, consisting of species representative of Brazilian fauna and flora. Attracted by this uniqueness of nature, coupled with zeal and good service, more than two million visitors from 178 countries connected with the Iguaçu National Park during 2019. It is the largest visitation ever recorded at the conservation.
