Evening Light (Source: Severne)

Its been a busy month. Mostly having the head down in the office as our project continues to develop embodied by some high tempo beats. I also managed to escape to Zürich for a long weekend trip which was an unforgettable weekend hiking the Swiss Alps. Insanely beautiful!

This months mix consists mostly of unoffensive driving office beats with the occasional relief found through artists like Ella Grace.

Get ready for next months summery list which takes us to Tenerife for a month!

Album Of The Month:

Spooky Mansion’s album “I’m the Moon, You’re the Wave” — July ’18 Album of the Month

July’s award goes out to an album straight out of the esky in the glittering evening light after a solid cross-off session with some great friends. Grab the stubby cooler, this one is ice cold.

Spooky Mansion started as a one-off performance when they were asked to play for Owen Wilson’s 45th birthday on the shore of the Mississippi River in North Texas. After a bootleg recording of the event was passed around in early 2015, a cult following began growing and the band eventually decided to pursue music full time in San Francisco. Interesting beginnings!

Information on this group is surprisingly difficult to find. Quite spooky even for a group with singles at close to 1 million plays on Spotify.

The music is multilayered and polished beyond expectations for a bootlegged recording. Worth checking out.

Sounds like: Beach House, Winston Surfshirt, Glass Animals, Slum Sociable.
