Last night, one of my favorite shows took on a topic that’s pretty relevant in city planning- building stadiums.

He was right on point with an issue that faces many cities, not just in America, but around the world. In the last few years alone we started to what is almost becoming a trend among cities to actually turn down opportunities to host major events like the Olympics because the enormous cost for limited public gain. I won’t say stadiums and sports arenas aren’t a benefit to have- but as Oliver proclaimed, let them pay for it.
