New Atari Games For Modern Times
1. IT’S COMPLICATED, PAC-MAN
After forty years of running around in relentless pursuit, it’s no surprise that the ghosts are damn tired of chasing Pac-Man. Even a few of them are looking for love in all the wrong mazes. After Ms. Pac-Man leaves her husband to start her own more challenging adventure game, Pac-Man realizes that there’s more to life than eating the same bland dots day after day. Even fruity power pellets aren’t fulfilling. So in a change of heart, Pac-Man opens himself up to something exciting and new…Wacca Wacca Wacca.
2. PANDEMIC PITFALL!
In this updated version of Pitfall!, Harry must avoid dangerous traps and distractions as he tries to earn a living in a pandemic. Help Harry stay clear of dirty runaway shopping carts and scary viruses on his way home. Will he jump over the stream of social media rushing his way, or succumb to procrastination and doomscrolling? Can he grab the rope and swing over household distractions and neglected chores? Will he spend his precious time on DIY projects to fix the house before his life crumbles into pieces?
3. FACE INVADERS
Little did we know that while we were obsessed with shooting alien Space Invaders in the ’80s, the real aliens eventually developed their own simulation, but with humans as invaders. After hacking into Earth’s communication system, the aliens learned that earthlings were just simple creatures that could be distilled down to six emojis. Defeating them would be easy. However, the motivation for Earth’s conquest was soon overtaken by their desire to achieve the high score in Face Invaders. As gaming addiction set in, the majority stayed home, rarely showered, and developed bad skin. Only a few aliens managed to put on their suits and venture out of their space ships. Perhaps we aren’t all that different from those creatures from outer space.
