Wildflowers

It was chilly, dark, and cloudy when I went on a walk yesterday. As I was enjoying the fresh air of Southern California (after a summer full of smoke and heat from the fires), I stumbled upon this beautiful bush that crawled eight feet up a chain link fence, full of white roses. Thankfully I didn’t dive my nose into this pretty white rose, but I was at least brave enough to ask my husband to take a picture of this intricately mesmerizing 🐝 bee that God created. It reminds me of how much we need to be pollinated by the promises in Gods Word. There’s no other way we could bloom in this dark world except by allowing Jesus to do the work within our hearts so that the Gospel of Grace can spread like wildflowers on a vine! A city set on a hill full of twinkling lights in the black of night attracts our attention. What about a blackout? Have you ever been in a city full of lights and all the electricity shuts down? It’s an eerie feeling isn’t it? So what do we do? Bust out the brightest candles 🕯and they give light for everyone to see where they’re walking. The same with flowers. They need water, sunshine, good soil, pollination, and the opportunity for someone to come along and see that God is good in the midst of the darkness. Today, let’s take time to 🐝 bee in Gods Word so that we can 🐝 bee more like Him… shining the love of Christ in a dark world!
