The big hit game has been launched in Japan, the country of Pokemon character’s origin, for a while ago. Of cause!! Sure!! No doubt!! It’s becoming amazingly famous and a lot of Japanese are going out to catch Pokemon all day and night time. Moreover, especially on social media, you can find many users connecting from around the world (including Japanese) making noise and talking about the craze mobile game.
On the face of it, Pokemon Go is just for fun. But once we consider deeply Pokemon Go, we will finally find it is not only game for fun but we can take advantage of its for make something interesting during our precious trip!
As you known Pokemon Go is implement AR(augmented reality) and location based features. When you play this game, you need to go go go go for a walk around the real world. So, isn’t sound good if you explore the new interesting route through Pokemon Go when you travel in Japan :) Recently, I walked around Harajuku area and explored many interesting things which navigate through Pokestops in Pokemon Go game.
the first pokestop is Harajuku station which attract your attention by old wooden structure building.

From the station, turn right and go straight for next Pokestop ‘Jingu-bashi’ where located in front of Meiji Shrine. Then arrived at one of famous spots in Tokyo ‘Meiji-jingu’. I found and got some Pokemon here.

After that I walked along the street to go Yoyogi park. There are a lot of Pokestops and Pokemons in this park (including many trainers :D)

Yoyogi park isn’t only has wide space which you can enjoy picnic, exercising or doing activity that you like. Sometimes on weekend you can see indie bands and musicians playing music.

There are a various Pokemons in this park. So, it’s seem like Pokemon trainers meeting point.

Now, let’s move on to next Pokestop. I walked across pedestrian crossing in front of Meiji Shrine into Omotesando St. which either side of the street has a lot of shops and restaurants.

Then we arrived at famous four corners in Harajuku area where has Laforet and Tokyu department stores located here. If you are a shopholic, this is heaven place for shopping which I’d like to recommend. Abosolutely, There are a lot of Pokestops here too.

Next, I walked across pedestrian crossing and turn into the right side. I found Gongcha where is popular milk pearl tea shop. It wasn’t only sound good but tasty too :)

After charged up the power by tasty milk pearl tea, let’s move on to next shopping street near here.

Oh.. I found a long queue in the corner of this street. It’s lobster sandwich shop called Luke’s Lobster. I try lobster sandwich one, reallyyyy yummy!

if you walk until the end of street, it’s turn to the Omotesando main street that you can enjoy with many shops such as Kiddy Land, Line Friends Store etc.

Then, I arrived at the end of Takeshita street which is the most famous street in Harajuku area. There are a various boutiques and shops here.

Amount Pokestops and Pokemons are in this street too :)

In this time, I finished my Harajuku route trip at Pokestop in front of Takeshita street. I think this game helps you to explore new places that you haven’t gone before. Moreover, while you enjoy the game, it’s helping you about exercise and fitness too. Next time I’ll share my trip through Pokemon Go in new area. Hopefully my experience will be helpful for you! Please stay tune for next trip!
