In a previous article, I wrote about Japan’s ubiquitous convenience stores, particularly sweet treats from 7-Eleven. In this post, I write about the best desserts at Family Mart.

Family Mart, also known as “Famima,” is one of the Japanese convenience store giants along with 7-Eleven and Lawson with a total of 16,426 stores across the country. There are four Family Marts in my local neighborhood and I often go to them. These are my favorite Family Mart treats.

Mont Blanc with Italian and Japanese Chestnuts

This is Mont Blanc with Italian and Japanese chestnuts. I enjoy its variety of taste and texture with a mixture of Mont Blanc cream, Japanese chestnut paste, and crispy merengue.

Chocolate Orange

This is a sweet using Family Mart’s own original chocolate, “Ecuador Special.” It is topped with orange peels on chocolate mousse with an orange flavor, orange sauce, and chocolate ganache cream.

I like the soft milk scent and creamy flavor with much body of this strawberry milk drink.

The following music plays when you enter a Family Mart.
