JaroCoin — first Initial Time Offering

I got this idea 8 months ago. In the beginning it was a joke for my friends but now it becomes real project…

Everything started early morning last August when I was meditating in my dojang (martial arts training hall). Back then all ICO “madness” already looked crazy and it looked that everyone tries to create own “utility” token. Create out of nothing which can be used for nothing. Zero guaranties, zero regulations, zero actual and useful code. Just promises and fancy video. And what’s more, many projects didn’t even needed own token, utilising Bitcoin or Ethereum would make more sense. I wanted to create token which would have all ICO characteristics but would be actually utility and would be backed by something real. So I decided to create JaroCoin — token 100% backed by my time.

In first place this idea looked as a joke. However after sharing it with my friends I was surprised — they liked it.

How it works

From now on and util my next birthday all of my time is tokenised. Hawing JaroCoin is the only way to get my services or attention. Even my sleep has it’s own tokens, which are burned each day ;)

1 JARO = 1 second of Jaro’s life

One JARO token can be exchanged for one second of my life (in minimal batches of 900 = 15min). Tokens will be burned after using them— time is true utility and can’t be used twice ;)

How you can use Jaro?

There are many things I can do for you or we can do together. There are a few ideas for beginning:

• You can HODL it and trade it! As each true token, JARO can be traded on decentralised exchanged on Ethereum (e.g. Token Delta) and when it will become as successful as UET, you’ll find it even on big centralised markets.
• You can get blockchain consulting services. Anything from smart-contracts development, setuping own bitcoin node, getting your Bitcoin Cash|Private|Gold|Diamond out of private keys or hardware wallets to reviewing white paper for your ICO.
• You can learn uniq and rare martial arts. I’m instructor of Korean style WonHwaDo also for a few years I’m studying Chinese Iliqchuan. How about morning trainings in park?

Future vision

All code of JaroCoin is OpenSourced and published on GitHub. At the moment I’m working on blockchain based calendar which will allow to book my time by sending JAROs to it.

Also there are a few more ideas:

1. to create special wallet for JARO tokens so users would not need to pay transaction fee to use them;
2. to create time token standard and decentralised market where JARO could be traded for other time tokens;
3. to move JaroCoin out of Ethereum network into Rootstock or even to Cardano (when it will be ready).

Thanks to code created for JaroCoin, everyone can create own time token. I’m planning to create manuals how to do that. And if anyone would need technical help with that, I’m always available to be hired (for JARO owners of-course).

I don’t know how this experiment will end. But I can imagine future where many people are issuing own time tokens and when people are buying services by paying with other’s time. I can imagine special exchanges for time token with finding path for best possible convention rates…

Many years ago we had global money (gold). Then countries created own money (USD, YEN etc.). During last years more and more startups started to create own money (ICO, utility tokens).

Now is time for personal money.
