What an eventful week it was! Just talking about the conference would take one newsletter. Although we have more to talk about, so let's begin.

Exchange

Private dashboard for the market maker is finished! It consists of all the useful data insights for the MM to easily see, like the “health” of the system, if all the trades are correctly passed, and the risk taken etc. Next on the development line is public dashboard (which will show all the relevant data for the users), referral links, and last but not least — the dividends payments.

Private Dashboard

Meanwhile, we have accepted the offer from the security firm for an audit of the backend and frontend, which will start working somewhere next week. The check-up might take up to two weeks, maybe more (better safe than sorry). Apart from the security check-up, the firm is insured on the job done. Meaning that if something is to happen (in the security aspect) the firm will cover the loss. Of course, we would prefer for sure occasion not to occur but as we all know — anything can happen, so it is a nice thing to have. However, as you might guess we still need to audit the smart contract. In regards to that our strategy is to hire an independent auditor and not to spend “crazy” money (“famous” firms take 50,000–200,000EUR which is bonkers) since we plan to make a lot of upgrades in the following year.

Wallet and Stablecoin

At the moment we continue to work on the UX improvement for the onboarding, more specifically — wallet deployment. Now a user has to pay before he/she can see the wallet, as it needs to be deployed first. What we plan to do, is to implement Meta-Deployment. This will allow new users to go to the wallet before it has been deployed, and only after the first deposit, the wallet will be fully deployed.

The White Paper is finished and sent to the UMA protocol team. Now as we wait for their response and feedback, we are in a lookout for the developers hat can start working on implementing the first prototype.

Business

On Saturday Pascal had lunch with the CEO and founder of Paraswap, it was a nice discussion and exchange of useful insights. For example, now we have more information on how to hire, whom to hire and at what will be the costs for the people in Paris. They also talked about what we could possibly do together, like using their aggregator of exchange in the wallet, this will allow us to have one of the best exchange rates for most of the cryptocurrency on Ethereum.

Now let's talk about the first DeFi meetup in France! It was amazing and super useful. we can go that far and say that it was the most useful event we have ever attended. Unlike other events which are more mostly done for PR purposes, it was more simple but full of interesting people who are united under one topic — DeFi. Like we randomly met a guy who knew about the universal login protocol, he was quite excited to meet with us since we build on that protocol. Pascal did amazing presentation about rDai, and also showed people Jarvis Wallet and Exchange. As they say — “so far, so good”. It was also great for “networking”, we met with a lot of incredible people and it was nice to know that some of them already know about us. A huge shoutout and thank you to all the participants and organizers, can't wait for the next one!

While Pascal was “having fun” at the conference, our lead developer Petar started to work on the full audit and analyses on what we have, and what has to be done in the coming months. The information gathered should help us in determining who to hire. He also started to research on the Loopring protocol, to see if will really help us with what we want to do.

This is all for today, see you next week!

Vsevolod.
