The work continues, time to give you some highlights of the week.

Exchange

This week we had a series of talks with our developers regarding the exchange. The first one was about a dashboard which will display the health of the system (like the amount of DAI locked in the smartcontract, the equity of the Market Maker etc.). The second one might interest you more since it concerns the revenue distribution. Yes, it is closer than you think!

We have finished writing the requirements, and we are now waiting for feedback from the developers to get a time estimation.

Wallet

On the front end, we continue to work with flutter and achieve great progress with it.

This week we played a lot with mathematics and its lovely polynomial regression. You might think “oh these guys probably try to make the wallet even more secure using complex equations”… but it is actually not the case.

I have made a big sacrifice to illustrate my point.

Sometimes a phenomenal amount of technology is not used to make the world a better place, but to add cat ears on our face to make a cool selfie.

Well… it is the same for us; we are using these complex mathematics function for a cosmetic purpose: we are chasing the best curve ever to animate some windows.

And we found one. We are happy to say that this function:

This function is powering some animation within the app. You will discover this animation very soon.

Apart from that, we started to integrate the design for the list of assets making the wallet starting to look like… a wallet.

Lightsaber screen issue… Jarvis Network on a P30.

One’s happiness makes sometimes one’s unhappiness: in Bulgaria when someone buys a new pair of shoes, has a new haircut or has a new phone, we celebrate it with some candies, and some weird tradition (like stepping on your new white pair of shoes to wish you good luck); while we were celebrating the new Pascal’s phone we notice that the wallet was not responsive on “lightsaber screen” (screens which are very long). Vlad will have to rework that next week, and he was fakely happy about it.

Unfortunately, we do have some bad news. Our friends and partners ETHwork will not be able to work on the native Compound integration on time for the conference in Osaka, as they are still polishing the onboarding and fixing some issues that came up after Berlin.

Business

If you read our previous newsletter you would know that we are still in a lookout for CFD broker and we are currently in talks with one of the largest. At this point, we are trying to find the best solution for the best way to work with them. (If you are not sure what CFD provider is, you can read the last newsletter).

In parallel to that, we also keep exchanging with UMA protocol (UMA protocol allows you to lock a token (ETH, or DAI, or cDAI) and mint whatever has a price (like AAPL, EUR or Corn) or to create new financial products indexed on the number of like of a post… As you know DAI is pegged to USD, but most of our community and future users live in the eurozone or are located in Africa, and would prefer to use euro-pegged stablecoin as example. Leveraging from UMA, we could create several stablecoins like EUR, GBP, CHF etc. for the Jarvis Network, backed by cDAI and/or iDAI to earn interest.

I would like to finish today`s newsletter on a positive note, we recently onboarded a new investor! Such an addition will let us hire more devs to increase the development speed (so far we plan to add two more to the Jarvis family). Job offers are created and now we are ready to scout for some “fresh blood”!

This is all for tonight, have a great Sunday and see you next week!

Vsevolod.
