How to Get the Highest Level of Engagement in Facebook Groups

Many Facebook Groups with thousands of members have shut down quite a bit in the past few months. So what’s up with this trend? The leaders of these groups are choosing to put their focus elsewhere. But that doesn’t mean these groups will be completely extinct. There are some amazing groups still out there, where you might be able to get clients from. The one thing that will make you stand out in the hundreds or thousands of people in those groups lies in one word — ENGAGEMENT. It’s what brings attention to you as a person that can be trusted in business.

First, student the interests and demographics of each group you join. Just hopping in a group and extending business services is not the best approach. Certain groups are made for specific reasons. You have to know what people in the group are there for, as well as the intentions of the leader. Look at the members’ backgrounds, goals, and problems. You can conduct market research doing this to discover who you really want to serve. You’ll also have the chance to see what they really need. You don’t have business if you don’t solve a problem.

Up next, you need to nail down your client avatar. This is essential because there is no reason to join these groups if you don’t have a clear idea of the client’s you would like.

Who do you serve?

What do they do?

Where do they live?

What is their problem?

Do they know they have this problem?

What do they like to do?

How do they feel about themselves?

What are their goals?

What do they do on a daily basis?

Where do they hang out on social media?

What is their background?

How much money do they make?

Where do they work or do they have a business?

What do they spend their money on?

What brands do they like?

How do they dress?

Yes, you should go even deeper than this. As you craft this person in mind, you can attract them much faster if you become an energetic match to who they are. Your tribe will vibe with you because you are just like them, but just a few steps ahead with a solution to their problem.

After knowing exactly who you want to work with, you need some HOT COPY with FREE CONTENT to speak to your tribe. You have to know what pulls on their heartstrings. Truthfully, people don’t buy for pleasure. So you can try to sell them a dream all you want, and you’ll probably wind up hearing crickets. People typically make a purchasing decision that will stop their pain as quickly as possible. When you make posts in those groups, you should continuously showcase those pain to pleasure points. Show them that you don’t have to stay in the same situation. Call them to step up to get themselves away from the hurts they are currently dealing with. It’s important to show up and be visible with these people as much as possible. Nurture them with the free content you provide. If your free content is valuable, they’ll be your clients in no time!
