Congratulations to the winners of the Solutions for Future Earth Student Competition!

The competition, aimed at students between the ages of 13–18 drew submissions from students around the world who opined on a wide range of topics representing challenges or opportunities that they believe the planet will be facing ahead. The entries were reviewed by members of the Molecular Frontiers Journal’s Editorial Board and were judged according to their originality, presentation of concept, development of solutions, impact and feasibility of implementation.

The Award Winners are:
First Prize — Clara Nyman, Nils Fredriksson Utbildning, Sweden, Dangerous Colors
Second Prize — Yuki Agarwala, K. International School Tokyo, Japan, The Hidden Methanogens
Third Prize — Lisa Samuelsson, Bäckängsgymnasiet, Sweden, Encourage Reduced Food Waste
Youth Observation Award — Benedikt von Beauvais, St. George’s School Duisburg-Düsseldorf, Germany, Changing World
Sustainable Solution Award — Jin Wen Kee, National Junior College, Singapore
