The Most Trashy Interviews I’ve Ever Had with Programmers

I will tell you about strange situations during interviews with my colleagues. There is an opinion that programmers are a strange bunch. I think it’s a stupid stereotype, but sometimes our practice reinforces it:

1. Data Scientist from Bathhouse

Yes, the guy just joined my colleague for an interview from the bathhouse. Or rather, the dressing room. Ruddy, slightly damp, and very happy. The only thing missing to complete the entourage was a birch leaf somewhere on his chest.

2. Half-naked Pythonista

And this is not the same person from the bathhouse. The candidate simply did not consider it necessary to wear a T-shirt to the interview. An extreme level of openness at the interview!

3. Microdosing Mushrooms by a Data Scientist (What’s Wrong with Them)

Attention, we are against drug use! It is harmful to your health and generally bad; you can even go to jail. However, a candidate for the role of data science specialist believes that microdosing with mushrooms is part of biohacking and allows him to always remain cheerful and open to new things.
