Future Kanye West ‘Keep it Burnin’ Music Video Review

DJ JAX takes a deeper look at Future Kanye West Keep it Burnin REACTION Look at the lyrics, production, choreography and artistic expression in every music video reaction or music review.

Donda 2 Track List

  1. Security
  2. Lift Me Up” (featuring Vory)
  3. Get Lost
  4. Pablo (featuring Travis Scott and Future)
  5. True Love” (featuring XXXTentacion) : You will probably get goosebumps listening to “True Love.” The song features an unbelievably touching chorus by XXXTENTACION. As for Kanye West, he blesses us with a verse in which he sounds extra motivated and like the ultimate family man. He also adlibs XXXTENTACION magnificently.
  6. Keep It Burnin’: Kanye takes over this single with Future bringing a not so inspiring sprig of lyrical contribution. Not much room for Future on a single featuring his name.
  7. Broken Road (featuring Don Toliver): Don Toliver’s vocals on “Broken Road” are legendary. He did a good job of blessing us with something that is intoxicating. Kanye also does his thing in the track, too. He drops a passionate verse that has him flowing really well and lyrics that actually make him come across as both imperfect and human.
  8. I’m Finna Love Me
  9. Closed For Business
  10. We Did It Kid (featuring Baby Keem and Migos) : “We Did It Kid” is the kind of music that boxers walk out to. The song features a jubilant beat, fierce raps by both Kanye and Migos, and a passionate/invigorating/Lil Uzi Vert-Esque hook by Baby Keem.
  11. Flowers
  12. Maintenance
  13. 530
  14. Mr. Miyagi (featuring Future and Playboi Carti)
  15. Selfish featuring (XXXTentacion)
  16. First Time in a Long Time (featuring Soulja Boy)
  17. Louie Bags featuring Jack Harlow)
  18. Candyland
  19. Sci-Fi (featuring Sean Leon)
  20. Do I Look Happy? (featuring Future)
  21. Things Change
  22. City of Gods (with Fivio Foreign and Alicia Keys) The song is powered by this out-of-this-world drill beat that definitely gives me Captain America vibes. Over the beat, Fivio Foreign hits us with an aggressive verse that has him sounding like he’s ready to go to war with his enemies, Alicia Keys hits us with an invigorating hook that has her paying homage to New York City, and Kanye hits us with a verse in which he sticks his chest out, threatens to bring goons to SNL, and says everything with him and Drake is swell.

Top 5 Best Songs from Kanye’s Album Donda according to fans

  • #5: “Come to Life” is refreshingly pared-down. In this solo song, West sings over simple synths and a moving piano solo as he reflects on his relationship with Kim Kardashian and even mentions their daughter North.
  • #3: “Jail” (feat. Jay-Z)It’s the return of The Throne. On the day of “Donda”’s release, this was the most streamed song of the album and was listened to almost 9 million times on Spotify. With this track, Kanye establishes the recurring themes of the album, referring to his faith and the end of his marriage with Kim Kardashian.
  • #2: “Off the Grid” (feat. Fivio Foreign & Playboi Carti) With contributions from Fivio Foreign and Playboi Carti, “Off the Grid” has captivated fans with its lyrics and energetically ominous beat.
  • #1: “Hurricane” (feat. The Weeknd & Lil Baby) The song has been anticipated for over two years, since Kanye first tweeted a clip to tease the album release of “Yandhi”, later rebranded as 2019’s “Jesus Is King”. This short recording actually features Kanye singing the 53 seconds of the chorus himself. With The Weeknd taking over the chorus and a verse from Lil Baby, it’s no surprise this clear favourite has been released as the album’s single.

Reviews

“It’s impossible to watch Kanye West’s Donda 2 rollout without harkening back to the chaos of 2021. The version placed on streaming services was nearly two hours long and featured a confusing variety of underdeveloped ideas and lush production choices that distracted from the thesis of dedication and faith. Donda 2, the sequel memorial album named after Kanye’s late mother Dr. Donda C. West, is shrouded in a similar cloud of personal strife. The lead-up to the release saw multiple instances where his very public divorce with ex-wife Kim Kardashian West crashed into his creative process. Each moment, whether it was pointed barbs at Pete Davidson or fallouts with close friend Kid Cudi, exhausted fans of his music who recognize the antics have now outweighed the creative process. “ Matthew Ritchie

“The Kanye West Donda 2 listening party was a mess and the show wasn’t worth the wait! It was two hours late, half empty and I felt like I was part of some sacrifice as they burned down a church and harped on Kim Kardashian. We couldn’t see who was performing as the performance was mainly focused on the live stream. The audio was so bad Kanye threw his micorphone into the water. The only good moment was when Alicia Keys played City of Gods. ” SLO4N

Videos from the Listening party show…

“The most disappointing thing is how thin much of Donda 2 sounds, how messy and badly structured the songs are, how few pop hooks or memorable melodies it conjures, and how weak and repetitive West’s rhymes often are. “ Neil McCormick -The Telegraph

“It occasionally feels demo-like, half-finished: the corroded electronics on Louie Bags are intriguing, but the song features what sounds like a placeholder vocal. Great lines are few and far between.” Alexis Petridis — The Guardian
